  • a All mouse strains studied developed a time-dependent increase in C. rodentium colony counts in the colon following oral inoculation of this pathogen. Colonization occured more rapidly and to a higher level in the C3H/HeJ strain. Values are the mean colonic C. rodentium CFU ± 1 SEM from three independent experiments, each with groups of four to five mice.
