  • a Degrees of substitutions (n, chain length of LTA-glycerophosphate) were determined from the 1H NMR integrals of LTA. The high degree of nucleic acid contamination prevented chain length determination (ND, not determined) by NMR in case of the commercial B. subtilis LTA.
