  • a Data are means ± SE for six healthy subjects. Whole blood, diluted 1:1 in RPMI, was stimulated for 24 h at 37°C with different heat-killed bacteria (final concentration, 107 CFU/ml). Incubation of whole blood for 24 h at 37°C without bacteria resulted in detectable levels of IP-10 (963 ± 344 pg/ml) and Mig (352 ± 109 pg/ml).
